John Packer Musical Instruments in NZ and Tonga visit
JP Musical Instruments’ managing director, Rob Hanson, has been racking up the miles visiting some of our dealers in the southern hemisphere, and sampling the vibrant brass band culture there.
Rob recently attended the New Zealand Brass Band Championships, where he heard some of the excellent playing on offer, while supporting Brass Direct. Rob also presented an award as part of the B Grade prize giving.
He also visited Tonga Police Band College to see some wonderful music making in action - and was even persuaded to pick up a tenor horn and join in!
Rob was delighted to hand over a JP332S Rath trombone to the police band, in conjunction with Brass Direct New Zealand, and Taylormade Music, Australia.
